There are a few reasons why you'd want to spend the extra money for a Quick Sling Flush Mount Hanging Kit. The best is having some wiggle room to hook up a 4" vent by having the ability to swivel the heater. Otherwise, trying to insert a vent section between two unmovable objects would require you to lift the heater onto the vent before fastening to ceiling brackets. The other is the ability to mount the heater at an angle other than parallel or perpendicular to your ceiling joists. I suppose you could install a 3/4" square piece of plywood on the ceiling to angle the heater but that looks pretty rough. Lastly, these hanging brackets look much better than angle iron being tubular and painted. If you're looking to add a unit heater to a garage or shop, this is definitely a more refined way of doing it. This is the second unit heater I've installed and I wish I knew this thing existed before!
This bracket was a great help in my set up as I had this mounted to a poll. Great product heavy duty too. I thought as I took it out of the box dang this heavy duty!
Made installation of my Hot Dawg heater convenient and allowed me to hang it exactly where I wanted. Couldn’t be anymore pleased.
First tried this unit while installing 105k btu unit in 30x50 shop. Worked out so great that I bought another when replacing 45k btu heater in attached garage. Simple assembly, secure and easy mounting for 2 individuals. Big fan of easy adjustment to heat throw angle utilizing these units.
