I have used cheap vent openers, and there is no question that these are stronger and better constructed. The replacement cylinders are a little tricky to replace, but once you do the first one, it's pretty easy.

Bought an extra pair when we set up greenhouse because thought we might have problem getting replaceable. Just now installed spare set. Had no problem finding another spare set. The product opened the vents wide and i have no problem... Same variety as the house came with.
